The Elestian Empire is crumbling… but Corporal Kosro of the imperial army doesn’t care. All he wants to do is pick up his pay, while continuing his clandestine relationship with Mila, who works in the palace kitchens. Such affairs are forbidden, but Kosro has never been overly concerned about breaking the rules.

With provinces rebelling, and riots raging throughout the imperial capital of Elestia, time is running out for the Masters and Makers of the beleaguered empire; and time is running out for Kosro and Mila.
